Traditional Halloween activities such as trick-or-treating are fun, but some Halloween events can increase the risk of getting or spreading viruses. So to keep yourself safe and meantime enjoy this Halloween, pay attention to these tips.
1. Avoid Direct Contact With Trick-or-treaters

Try to hand out treats outdoors and avoid close contact. You can set up a table outside and put your wrapped candy on it individually. This way, trick-or-treaters can pick their favorites and don't have to touch other pieces. Or, you can just make a "candy slide" like the lady in the pic does.
2. Keep It Local And Small

While kids would go to as many houses as possible most Halloweens, this year it might be best to stay close to home and only visit houses of close friends and family members. In addition, keep the trick-or-treaters group small and avoid heading out with a bunch of neighbors.
3. Stay At Least 6 Feet Away From Strangers

Always remember to maintain social distancing. Indoors and outdoors, stay at least 6 feet away from others you do not live with. Besides, avoid close contact with strangers for a long time.
4. Keep Your Hands Clean

Wash and sanitize your hands frequently. Remember to bring hand sanitizer with you when venturing outside and use it after touching objects or other people. When you get home, wash your hands with soap and water for no less than 20 seconds.
5. Wear A Mask

Stick to wear a cloth mask. Instead of putting on a costume mask, you can make a cloth mask part of your costume. Keep in mind, do not wear a costume mask over a cloth one because this can make your breathing difficult.
